Health Unit Helping Smokers Kick the Habit

The Northwestern Health Unit is helping smokers in Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Fort Frances butt out.
Spokesperson Jennifer McKibbon says they are offering 50-smokers in each community 10-weeks of free nicotine replacement therapy such as gum, patches or inhalers.
McKibbon says the program has been successful in the past.
‘Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients’ workshops will be held in the 3-communities next week.
Anyone interested in participating is asked to call the Dryden office at 1-888-404-4231.
