Health Unit Launching New Program

Starting in the New Year, the Northwestern Health Unit will offer a
new program that will help protect women from emotional, physical and
sexual abuse.
Spokesperson Kathleen Fitzgerald says public health nurses in Dryden,
Sioux Lookout, Kenora and Fort Frances will be trained to ask anyone over the
age of 12 if they’re being abused.
A majority of the people who visit the clinics are women but male
clients will also be looked after.
