The Northwestern Health Unit has launched a public awareness campaign
about the dangers of smoking in cars when kids are present.
Health Promoter Barb Roussin says smoking a cigarette in a vehicle can
be harmful to your health, especially for babies and children who breathe
more quickly and take in more harmful chemicals.
Roussin is calling on the Province to ban smoking in vehicles.
She adds they are offering smoke-free home and car kits which are
available at Health Unit offices across the district.
