The province still hasn’t filled one-third of the top public health jobs, leaving many rural communities without permanent Medical Officers of Health.
The Northwestern Health Unit can be included in that group as officials are still trying to find a replacement for Dr. Pete Sarsfield, who plans to retire at the end of the year.
Sarsfield says they are starting to receive a few nibbles after months of landing nothing.
