The Northwestern Health Unit is concentrating on small rural
communities under its new strategic plan.
Board of Health Chair John Albanese says they want services that are
offered in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances to be accessible elsewhere.
Albanese notes they are able to look at expanding services because of
an increase in Provincial funding and improved relations with communities.
He says health promotion and prevention as well as disease prevention
are again main priorities.
