The Northwestern Health Unit is trying to arrange a meeting in October with the Ministry of Labour, Environment officials and Weyerhaeuser employees to discuss the recent mercury concerns at the Dryden Mill.
5 workers believed to have been involved with the Air Emissions project were found to have elevated samples of mercury in their blood.
Environmental Team Leader Bill Limerick says they want to get to the bottom of the issue and have requested information about the workers health.
The Ministry of Labour is expected to submit a report in early September but officials have told Weyerhaeuser no adverse health effects are expected.
