A scorching start to the new week, but the hot weather isn’t expected to last.
A heat warning for much of northwestern Ontario is in effect.
It’s not only going to be warm with temperatures reaching 31-degrees, but it’s also going to be very humid at 40-degrees.
You are urged to stay cool and drink plenty of liquids and never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle or in direct sunlight.
Health risks are greatest for older adults, young children and anyone who needs to work outside.
For people who don’t like the heat, Bill Laidlaw from Signal Weather Services says things should change by mid-week.
Laidlaw says we should be in the mid 20’s over the few days.
Laidlaw suggests Tuesday could be fairly turbulent with thunderstorms in the forecast ahead of the cold front.
