Five men from northeastern Ontario have been slapped with a total fine of $15,000 for an illegal deer hunt in the Kenora area.
The group of hunters were convicted for a number of offences and one man was fined for careless hunting and is now banned from hunting for two years.
Court heard the men were charged last November after conservation officers responded to complaints of unsafe hunting.
One of the hunters shot at a deer from a vehicle on Highway 17A near a residential area.
