Help for Forest Industry

A major campaign is underway to lobby government for support for
the struggling forest industry in Northwestern Ontario.
Forest companies want the McGuinty government to adopt a regional
energy pricing system, which would help lower energy rates and the
industry’s costs.
A spokesman says Ontario had the most competitive hydro costs in
North America in 1990 but now has the highest.
