Heritage Fund Supporting Numerous Organizations And Communities

The Dryden based Cloverbelt Local Food Co-operative has received provincial funding.

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is providing the growing organization with more than $74,000 to identify local food distribution options.

Officials will look at ways to reach remote areas and provide them with natural and healthy food.

The province is also giving Sachigo Lake First Nation nearly $41,000 to develop a five year community economic development plan.

The Northern Ontario Regional Tourism Organization is on the receiving end of $100,000 to evaluate what drives tourism in this region.

Officials will look at ways to provide support and training to businesses.
