Highway 17 is now open in both directions just East of Dinorwic.
Provincial Police responded to a serious crash at Robertson Road just before the noon hour.
OPP say the incident involved a mini-van and a SUV.
Emergency personnel are on scene and Air Ambulance was on site at aproximately 1:40 pm
OPP say a passenger of the mini-van was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two occupants of the van are being transported for medical attention of unknown injuries.
The driver of the SUV was transported to Thunder Bay for medical treatment.
The identity of the deceased is being witheld pending notification of next of kin.
