The Provincial Police are reporting that the collision just east of Dinorwic has now been cleared and the road is now open.
Police say they responded to the incident at Robertson Road just before the noon hour.
OPP saythe accident occurred between a mini-van and an SUV.
A passenger of the mini-van was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two occupants of the van were transported for medical attention of unknown injuries.
The driver of the SUV was transported to Thunder Bay for medical treatment.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld as the next of kin is notified.
The cause is still under investigation.
