Highway 17 between Ignace and Dryden is now open after being shut down for nearly 12 hours.
The stretch 40km west of Ignace near Revell River was closed after a pair of huge sink holes developed last night.
Ministry of Transportation Crews spent the day filling in the spots with gravel and rock, but they also had to deal with a stuck transport.
The rig hit one of the holes and rolled into a nearby river last night.
The driver suffered only minor injuries.
There was minor fuel spill from the crash, but it has been cleared away.
Meantime, the MTO is checking all roads in Northwestern Ontario for signs of flooding today.
There have been a number of washouts reported over the past couple of days.
Regional Manager Larry Lambert says they want to prevent any problems before they develop.
Lambert says they will be checking Highway 17 and any other road where water is flowing.
