The Trans-Canada Highway has reopened to both lanes of traffic following a fatal collision between Dryden and Ignace.
Provincial Police say a westbound van struck an eastbound pickup truck around 7:20 this morning, about 40-kilometres west of Ignace.
The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified him as 57-year-old Danny Henderson of Atikokan.
Two people in the truck were transported to hospital with injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The collision forced the closure of Highway 17 for over six hours.
