The Trans-Canada Highway between Vermilion Bay and the Manitoba boundary is open again after being closed several hours due to poor weather and treacherous road conditions.
Roads are still snow-covered with slushy sections.
Caution is advised when on the road.
A Snow Fall Warning remains in effect across much of the district from Kenora to Dryden.
Environment Canada says to expect now, heavy at times to continue tonight across the region.
Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm are likely by Tuesday morning.
Gusty northeast winds to 50 km/h will produce some blowing snow in exposed areas as well.
There is also a risk of brief freezing rain tonight in the Sioux Narrows to Dryden to the Savant Lake areas.
