Highway 17 Will Stay Open During Paving

The City of Dryden is clarifying details surrounding the upcoming paving of Highway 17 through town.
The Highway won’t be closed as previously reported.
Director of Public Works and Engineering Mike Louttit says ashphalt trucks will be re-routed on Sandy Beach to minimize noise disruptions in town.
Louttit says one lane of traffic will be open at all times on the Trans Canada and stresses there should be no stoppages in traffic during construction.
Work will take place between 6:30pm and 6:30am to minimize the impact on traffic flow.
The paving project should commence the third week of September and take about 2 weeks to complete.
