Highway Safety Campaign

One of the deadliest seasons on local Highways is upon us.
The Highway Safety Education Committee is trying to reduce the number
of fatalities and has distributed 120,000 placemats to restaurants
offering tips to avoid collisions.
OPP Sergeant Rod Brown says between Victoria Day and Labour Day last
year, 14-lives were claimed on Northwestern Ontario roads.
Brown says not buckling up is still the number one factor behind
Highway deaths.
