In Loving memory of Hilda “Jean” Samuelson who passed away Saturday December 7th, 2013 at Princess Court at the age of 85.
She was born Sept. 5, 1928 and was a lifelong resident of Dryden.
She worked at St. Regis Bag Factory and Dryden Paper Mill for many years.
She was an avid gardener and a faithful parishioner at St. Luke’s Anglican Church throughout her life.
Jean is predeceased by her parents Louisa and Ralph Hadley, husband Ernest Olson, Jan. 1950 and Raymond Samuelson in May 2008. She is survived by daughters Gloria Yeo (Art) of Sault Ste. Marie and Marie Czinkota (Garnet) of Thunder Bay. Grandsons Michael Paquette (Robyn) , great grandson Reidar Paquette of Dryden and Kris Paquette (Jill, daughter Dani-Lynn and son Tyler)) of Sault Ste. Marie, Step Grand daughters Stephanie Yeo (Matthew and Lauren), Wendy Yeo (Bob and daughter Sara) all of Sault Ste. Marie. Her sisters Helen Buxton of Grand Forks, BC, Phyllis Wood of Owen Sound, ON and Betty Wright of Aurora, ON and numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada.
There will be no Visitation at the funeral home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 11th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Dryden with Father Dick Kennedy officiating and Jean’s nephew Pastor James (Lynn) Wood assisting.
Interment will be in the Dryden Cemetery.
