It looks as if a solution to the problem of non-urgent land ambulance patient transfers may be at hand.
Health Minister Deb Matthews has confirmed they are talking with the Northwest Local Health Integration Network about the issue.
Matthews says the issue is being resolved.
Tory M.P.P. Christine Elliott says the province has received a proposal from Pacific Western Transportation from B.C. which will not only save money but improve service in this region.
Elliot says the company has doubled the number of patient transfers in British Columbia in the past 8 years.
