Hiring Freeze at Weyerhaeuser

A hiring freeze has been imposed at all of Weyerhaeuser’s operations until layoffs are finalized at its Dryden Sawmill.
Cec Makowski of CEP says the freeze was imposed in order to help with the re-hiring of the laid off workers in Dryden.
Weyerhaeuser announced last week its Dryden Sawmill will shut down in October.
Makowski says the Union is holding two information meetings for unionized employees today.
