Ear Falls has become the first community in Sunset Country to adopt a smoke-free bylaw.
Effective September 3rd, Ear Falls will be smoke-free.
The bylaw means smoking will not be allowed in any enclosed space that has paid employees in it.
Ear Falls Mayor Geoff McClain says they have had support from the community and local businesses.
McClain says the recent postcard campaign launched by the Northwestern Health Unit prompted council to adopt the bylaw.
