Making a list and checking it twice can make all the difference between an affordable Holiday budget and breaking the bank.
Mary Beth Fenton of BMO suggests make a list of everyone you have to buy for and include a dollar amount next to each name.
Fenton does add if you happen to overdo it, don’t stress, just go back and track how much you overspent and rework your budget.
Fenton suggests putting aside a regular amount in a holiday savings account at the beginning of the year and include money for travel and entertainment not just gifts.
