Homicide in Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay police have named a 31-year-old man as a suspect in the city’s first homicide since 2007.
Andre Wareham is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 29-year-old William Harvey Atkins.
Police say 2-men got into an altercation Wednesday afternoon in the common area of an apartment complex.
Atkins was pronounced dead in hospital.
Police say both the victim and the suspect lived in the same building and knew each other.
