There may be some hope in ending a six-month-old strike by 400 employees at Thunder Bay Safeway stores.
Contract talks between Safeway and the United Food And Commerical Workers Union are resuming today.
The workers recently marked their six-month anniversary by holding information pickets at Safeway stores in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances.
The union says the contentious issues of working hours and full-time employment in Thunder Bay may also impact attempts to reach a new contract at other stores in the region.
