Dr. Barry Armstrong may not have to face a hearing before the Dryden Hospital Board next week, however he still has to pass another hurdle.
Armstrong must still appear before the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons.
The two hearings are distinct from each other.
Kathern Clark is a spokesperson for the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Clark says its alleged that Armstrong failed to maintain the standard of practise, committed discraceful and unproffesional acts, and its alleged that he is incompetent.
Clark adds it is also alleged that Armstrong performed unnessary procedures, failed to order X-rays, and performed procedures in which he was untrained and unskilled to do.
No date has yet been set for the College hearing.
Armstrong announced yesterday, through a joint release with the Dryden Hospital, he was leaving the community and would not be seeking reinstatement of his surgical duties at the hospital.
The Medical Advisory Committee revoked those privileges about one year ago.
