A survey suggests students in Northwestern Ontario are using more drugs than they did five years ago.
It also found that they do drugs more often than their peers in the rest of the province.
Lee Sieswerda of the Thunder Bay District Health Unit says since 1997, the use of nearly all drugs, from alcohol to ecstasy, has increased.
The most dramatic increase was in the number of kids who are now drinking alcohol.
Marijuana use also increased significantly.
