Hospital Board Agrees To Take Legal Action

A leaky roof has prompted the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre to take legal action.
The hospital is seeking compensation through the courts against designer Stantec Consulting and contractor EllisDon.
Engineering Consultant Doug Lawrence says the problem started in 2010.
Lawrence says the leaking stopped last year because of the mild winter, but it has once again become a problem this winter.
He adds they are moving ahead with different architecutral and engineering professionals to determine a short-term fix.
Lawrence hopes to have a temporary solution this summer but notes it could take some time.
Hospital officials say the leaks cause problems for staff and has forced staff to move patients and shut down three patient rooms.
