The Health Sciences Centre is celebrating its Patient Family Advisor Council this week.
Currently, the hospital has about 90 volunteers who work as Patient Family Advisors, to ensure patient values guide all clinical decisions.
Co-Chair Keith Taylor says this week will recognize the Council’s initiatives throughout different areas of the hospital.
Taylor adds, six years after adopting the practice, nearly 600 improvements to patient care have been made, as part of a partner-process between patients and the staff. (File photo)
