Hospital foundations across the region have been giving away record amounts in their 50/50 draws.
In addition to the Thunder Bay 50/50, which was $7.7 million, the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation set a record last month.
Mark Parker won the December draw of $51,880.
In Dryden, the December 50/50 was worth $195,395.
The winner was Thunder Bay resident Lucille Johnson.
Sales for the January draws have already opened.
