Huge Medal Haul For Dryden Athletes

Big things await Robert Grandmount and Dominique Gardner!
The two Dryden athletes took centre stage at the Regional Special Olympic Track and Field Provincial Qualifier in Thunder Bay.
Gardner competed in seven events and finished with five gold medals on the track (3000m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m) as well as two in shot put and long jump.
Grandmount competed in four events and finished third in the 100-metre, 200-metre, shot put and long jump.
Both athletes are now awaiting the results from the other regions to see if they have earned a spot to compete in the Provincial Games.
