A Terrace Bay man has been fined $6,000 for an illegal deer hunt south of Dryden.
Gary Salesse has pled guilty for failing to attach a game hunting seal to a deer, possessing illegally-killed wildlife, transporting illegally-killed wildlife, unlawfully obstructing a conservation officer and making a false statement to a conservation officer.
The charges stem from a November, 2014 incident.
Court heard that two deer weren’t properly tagged and Salesse phoned a friend and requested he hide one buck so officers wouldn’t find it.
