It took a year but the Ministry of Natural Resources finally got their men.
In 2009, Conservation officers investigated a case where a deer was shot on private property and dragged onto Crown land, off Highway 596 near Kenora.
Officers questioned 2-hunters in the same area one year later and learned the men were the same ones involved in the 2009 incident.
Peter Flood and Ronald Comette were charged a total of $1,000 for shooting a deer on posted private land.
