Highway 17 is closed near Sunshine, west of Thunder Bay
OPP say a crash involving a transport and an SUV closed the highway at about 10 pm (11 pm eastern)
Witnesses at the scene describe smoke and a fire, with traffic backed up in both lanes
Police could not provide an estimate on when the road would open.
