Hydro One says crews are working to restore power to customers in the Nestor Falls area.
Just over 200 homes are still without power.
Alicia Sayers from Hydro One says damage from Monday mornings storm was extensive.
“There are many downed trees…we’re patrolling the lines, but its actually difficult to see how many of poles are broken,” explains Sayers.
“We using a helicopter to also assist with the delivery of materials to off-road locations, and our forestry crews are also working to create a path so our line crews can access that equipment to make repairs.”
Sayers says they hope to have most of their customers reconnected later today.
There are also scattered outages in Sioux Narrows, Dryden and the Kenora area.
