Dryden residents are being asked to be on the lookout for a scam.
Police were contacted by a couple who received a call from someone posing as a Hydro One employee.
The caller stated a 2-thousand dollar payment was required, or their hydro was going to be disconnected.
Police say payment was to be made by Pay Power Visa cards through Western Union at Safeway.
The transaction was stopped before it went through and Safeway confirmed a similar incident happened the same day.
Hydro One was contacted and stated they didn’t make those calls.
