You’ll soon notice some changes to your Hydro One electricity bill.
The provincial utility has been consulting rate payers to find ways of simplifying the bills, making them easier to understand.
Energy Minister Glen Thibeault says the bills give consumers the basic information they need and removes unnecessary information.
Thibeault says one of the items taken of your hydro bill is the debt retirement charge, which hasn’t been collected for nearly two years, but was marked on your bill with a zero.
He also says over five thousand customers were consulted prior to the changes being made to the Hydro One bills.
