A former Dryden Ice Dog is now a member of the Fort William North
Stars.
Dryden has traded the rights to Merlyn Smith for future considerations.
The popular forward is attending school in Thunder Bay and decided to
return to hockey.
Head Coach Larry Wintoneak also traded Sean Bassingthwaite to WayWay
of the Manitoba League, however the transaction has been voided because he
decided to not report.
On the ice, Hockey fans will see a fired up Ice Dogs squad Friday night as Dryden is
back home to battle the Schreiber Diesel.
The Ice Dogs sport the best record in the SIJHL and have a 10-2 win
over the Diesel under their belt.
Coach Larry Wintoneak says his team is not lacking confidence right
now.
Game time is 7:30 at the “Dog Pound”.
