Not much surprise given the history of the Dryden Ice Dogs and Fort Frances Lakers, but the Best-of-7 SIJHL Semi-Final is going the distance.
The Lakers evened the series with a 4-1 win over the Ice Dogs at the Memorial Arena last night.
Fort Frances led 1-0 after two periods of play, but exploded in the third after a couple of costly turnovers.
Tyson Holder scored Dryden’s lone goal late in the contest.
That sets up a Game 7 tonight at the Ice for Kids Arena in Fort Frances.
Puck-drop is 7:30.
The winner faces the Minnesota Wilderness in the Bill Salonen Cup.
