The Dryden GM Ice Dogs rebounded from possibly their worst game of the year, while the Red Lake Miners offence showed no signs of slowing down Saturday night in the SIJHL:
The Ice Dogs bounced back from a 9-4 set-back in Red Lake with a commanding 6-0 victory over the league leading Thunder Bay North Stars.
Cameron Coutre got things going with an early goal on a penalty shot.
Trey Palermo, Connor Mowatt and Evan Pakkala also scored.
Zach Finke and Nathan Kiddie both scored their first league goals.
Carson Murison made several key stops and finished with 37-saves.
Dryden GM peppered 48-shots on Dougie Newhouse.
The Ice Dogs now sit alone in third place with 12-points.
They return to the ice Sunday for a 3:30 match-up at home against Minnesota.
In Red Lake, the Miners completed a two game sweep over the visiting Iron Rangers with a dominating 9-1 victory.
Bryce Young continued his hot play with another 3-goals and 2-assists.
Kyle Uzelman added a pair, while Bailey Hartman, Cole Bohnet, Ryan Patterson and Jun Yi Zhong all chipped in with singles.
Red Lake outshot Minnesota 60-14 and moved one point back of Thunder Bay for first.
