Ice Dogs At Safeway Today And Prepare For Minor Hockey Day Saturday

It’s a night off in preparation for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and English River Miners game Saturday evening.

The Ice Dogs are hoping to bounce back from a 5-0 loss Wednesday, while the Miners will welcome back Head Coach Derek Sweet-Coulter, who was in Alberta at the Team West Selection camp.

Game time is now 6:30.

Any youngster who comes in with a Dryden Minor Hockey Association team jersey will get $2 off their ticket.

There will also be a Novice Hockey game between the first and second period.

Adam Moir was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Friday to promote the Dryden Minor Hockey game.

He stresses the Ice Dogs have been heavily involved in their program and they wanted to give something back to the team.

Moir is hoping for a big turnout for the game.

Meantime, Ice Dogs players will be at Safeway Friday from 11 until 7 bagging groceries as part of Round Up Days.

Tonight in the SIJHL, the Minnesota Iron Rangers tackle the North Stars in Thunder Bay.
