It’s a game of leap frog at the top of the SIJHL standings as the Dryden Ice Dogs regained 1st with a 5-0 win over the Scheiber Diesels away from home Friday night. Dryden was without two of their top three points getters but put in a solid effort. Sonny Albert made 31 saves for his first SIJHL shut-out. Chad Liley, Cody Jefferies, Nicolas Doiron, Colin McIntosh and Kevin Burton all scored in the win. The Ice Dogs now have a one point lead over the Thunder Bay Bearcats. In other SIJHL play the Fort Frances Jr. Sabres upended the Fort William North Stars 3-1 at teh Fort William Gardens. Dryden and Schreiber will play again Saturday night in Schreiber.
