Mike Lennon was the hero of the game, giving the Ice Dogs their first win against the North Stars in the Fort William Gardens – a 2-1 nail biter in overtime.
Kevin Burton opened scoring for the Ice Dogs at 8:29 of the 2nd period, on the power play. Trevor Gamache replied for the North Stars, short-handed, at 10:11 of the 3rd to send it into overtime. Mike Lennon rifled in the game winner off John Mitchell to put one in the win column for the Ice Dogs.
