Ice Dogs Bounce Renegades

The Dryden Ice Dogs may have been short staffed but they weren’t short on fire power posting 10-1 win over the Marathon Renegades on home ice Saturday night. Neither team scored in the first but Dryden exploded for 7 goals in the second. Nicolas Doiron and Chris Kitt led the attack with a hat trick each. Shawn DeGagne scored his first SIJHL goal while Trevor Lind, Kevin Burton and Rowan Bruetsch all added singles. Graeme Harrington faced 21 shots in the win. Dryden remains three points up for first in the SIJHL standings. In other action the Fort William North Stars blanked the Thunder Bay Bulldogs 5-0 while the Thunder Bay Bearcats doubled the Schreiber Diesels 6-3. The Ice Dogs will now get set to face the North Stars at home in a crucial 2 game set Friday and Saturday.
