Ice Dogs Busy During Off-Season

A season ticket drive is being launched today for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.

You can secure your seat by visiting Casually Hip over the next few Thursday’s.

A charity barbeque for the team is being held Friday at Mirror Image on Scott Street from 10 until 3.

Meantime, General Manager Brian Bates continues to work with Coach Kurt Walsten on fine-tuning this years team.

Bates says in junior hockey, you should always be looking at making changes.

He notes they need more depth on their blueline and their third and fourth lines.

Walsten is anticipating an exciting year.

Walsten says they have a lot of returning players coming back, including their two goalies and notes they have a solid team.

However, he says they always could be better and notes last years Dudley Hewitt Cup appearance isn’t good enough.

Walsten notes his players have to be a lot more serious this year in order to give Dryden a well deserved title.

The Ice Dogs have launched a new Twitter account to showcase the team @DrydenGMIceDogs
