The number of nurses in Ontario is dropping.
A new report from the Canadian Institute for Health Information suggests Ontario has the second-fewest nurses per capita, only ahead of British Columbia.
The Registered Nurses Association says that’s putting the province’s ability to adequately meet the care needs of people in question.
Chief Executive Officer Doris Grinspun says in many cases, RN’s are being replaced by less qualified personnel.
