There’s an air of excitement in the camp of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
The SIJHL club is coming off a successful training camp and early expectations are high.
Head Coach Kurt Walsten says this years team is bigger and faster.
Walsten says the intensity in their training camp games has been better then their championship final last year against Fort Frances.
He stresses the kids are working and competing hard.
The team has several key veterans back in the line-up and Walsten says they have come back in better shape and with the right attitude.
Walsten adds they have 17 rookies.
The Ice Dogs open the season at home on Friday with a two game series against Thunder Bay.
