Ice Dogs Cruise To A 6-1 Victory In Game 3

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs scored three quick goals in the first period and didn’t look back in a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Iron Rangers Monday night to take a 2-1 lead in the SIJHL Semi-Final.

All four lines were firing on all cylenders as the Ice Dogs led from start to finish.

Cole Golka led the way with two goals and an assist, while Blake Peavy, Troy Williams, Zach Kercz and Derek McPhail.

Dryden GM recorded their second shorthanded goal of the playoffs as well as their third powerplay goal.

The Dogs outshot the Iron Rangers 38-24.

The only goal Dryden GM allowed was in the second when a Jake Arnold centering pass went off the stick of Blake Berg.

Dryden GM limited Minnesota to only four shots on the powerplay.

The Ice Dogs can go up 3-1 Tuesday with another win on home ice.

Game time is 7:30.

In the other SIJHL Semi-Final, the Fort Frances Lakers blew a 4-0 lead but held on to defeat the Thunder Bay North Stars 6-1.

The Lakers can advance to the final with a win Tuesday night in Thunder Bay.
