Treated Rail Ties Catch On Fire In Elm Bay Road Area

An early spring fire call for the Dryden Fire Service.
Firefighters were dispatched around 1:30 Monday afternoon after a blaze was reported in the Elm Bay Road area.
A pile of treated rail ties were found burning along the CP Rail mainline.
A CP boom truck separated the burning ties to allow crews to put out the flames and the fire was extinguished an hour later.
CP Rail Police are investigating the cause.
