It was another power performance for the Dryden Ice Dogs.
The Dogs scored 3 goals on the power-play Friday night en route to a 4-0 win over Fort Frances in the opening game of the Best-of-7 series.
Dryden has now scored 13 power-play goals in 5 playoff games.
Len Pelletier scored a pair of goals, while Dwight Lee and Alex Galbraith added singles.
Jon Mitchell and Ben McClellan each had 2-assists.
Dryden fired 31-shots on starter Tyler Ampe and back-up Jameson Shortreed.
Ian Perrier made 22-saves for his first SIJHL shut-out.
Game 2 is Sunday night in Fort Frances.
In the other Semi-Final, the Wisconsin Wilderness beat the Thunder Bay North Stars 5-2 in Game #1 in Spooner.
Game 2 is Saturday night.
