Ice Dogs Honour Top Players

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs closed the book on a successful season with their annual awards banquet Sunday night.

As expected Cole Golka took home the MVP and Top Scorer trophies.

Troy Williams also walked away with two honours; Rookie of the Year and Top Local Player.

Matt Houston and Derek McPhail both received the CKDR Community Service Award.

Dryden’s Ryan Hron won the Most Sportsmanlike award, while the Top Defenceman of the Year was Kyle Pouncy.

Tate Sproxton was the Playoff MVP, while Blake Berg was named the Most Improved Player.

The top Defensive Forward was Dylan Cusmano.

The Ice Dogs also said goodbye to six 20-year-old players who are done their junior hockey career; Jonathon Philley, Cole Golka, Eric Masters, Blake Peavey, Ryan Scott and Nick Etchyson.
